Context of Leviticus 1:7
5Then slaughter the bull in the Lord’s presence. Aaron’s sons, the priests, will offer the blood. They will throw it against all sides of the altar that is at the entrance to the tent of meeting. 6Skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces. Then the sons of the priest Aaron will start a fire on the altar and lay the wood on the fire. 8Aaron’s sons, the priests, will also lay the pieces, the head, and the fat on top of the wood burning on the altar. 9Wash the internal organs and legs. Then the priest will burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to the Lord.
