Context of Ezekiel 43:6
4The Lord’s glory came into the temple through the east gate. 5The Spirit lifted me and brought me into the inner courtyard. I saw the Lord’s glory fill the temple. I heard someone speaking to me from inside the temple while the man was standing beside me. 7The voice said to me, “Son of man, this is the place where my throne is and the place where my feet rest. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. Then the people of Israel and their kings will no longer dishonor my holy name by acting like prostitutes, nor will they dishonor it with the dead bodies of their kings. 8They put their doorway by my doorway and their doorposts by my doorposts. Only a wall separated me from them. They dishonored my holy name because of the disgusting things that they have done. So I destroyed them in my anger.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 6The man - A “man.” Probably an angel different from “the man” who had hitherto accompanied the seer. That angel guided, measured, and explained; this is present only to guide.Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 5-7The Spirit took Ezekiel to the inner courtyard. There, he heard the Lord say that the restored temple was his palace, with his throne and footstool. He would live there forever among the people of Israel. Identifying the temple as God's dwelling and seat of power was not new (see, for example, 1 Samuel 4:4). The temple would now be God's throne forever. The sins of his people would never again drive him away from his sanctuary.Read the comment
