Context of Ezekiel 43:10
8They put their doorway by my doorway and their doorposts by my doorposts. Only a wall separated me from them. They dishonored my holy name because of the disgusting things that they have done. So I destroyed them in my anger. 9Now they must stop acting like prostitutes and take the dead bodies of their kings far away from me. Then I will live among them forever. “Son of man, describe this temple to the people of Israel. Then they will be ashamed because of their sins. Let them study the plans. 11Suppose they are ashamed of everything that they have done. Then show them the design of the temple, its arrangements, its exits and entrances—its entire design. Tell them about all its rules and regulations. Then write these things down for them so that they can remember its design and follow all its rules. 12“This is a regulation of the temple: The whole area all the way around the top of the mountain is most holy. Yes, this is a regulation of the temple.”

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10Show the house to the house of Israel - Show them this holy house where the holy God dwells, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities. Their name, their profession, their temple, their religious services, all bound them to a holy life; all within them, all without them, should have been holiness unto the Lord. But alas! they have been bound by no ties, and they have sinned against all their obligations; nevertheless, let them measure the pattern, let…Read the comment

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 10-11At this point, God explained the purpose of the temple vision. Ezekiel was not the first person to receive a detailed plan for a sanctuary from God (see Exodus 25–40). This vision was not meant to begin a future building project after the people returned to their land. Instead, it was a message for the people living in Ezekiel’s own time. As they carefully studied the plan of the temple, they were meant to recognize their sin. They were to feel deep…Read the comment
