Context of Job 11:17
15Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure and will not fear. 16You will forget your misery; you will remember it as waters that have passed away. And your life will be brighter than the noonday; its darkness will be like the morning. 18And you will feel secure, because there is hope; you will look around and take your rest in security. 19You will lie down, and none will make you afraid; many will court your favor.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 17Thine age shall be clearer than the noonday - The rest of thy life shall be unclouded prosperity. Thou shalt shine forth - Thou shalt be in this unclouded state, as the sun in the firmament of heaven, giving light and heat to all around thee. Thou shalt be as the morning - Thus the sun of thy prosperity shall arise, and shine more and more unto the perfect day. This is the image which the sacred writer employs, and it is correct and elegant.Read the comment

Then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; that is, thou mayst come boldly to the throne of grace, and not with the terror and amazement expressed in ch. 9:34. If we are looked upon in the…Read the comment
