Context of Psalms 68:31
29As you live in your temple in Jerusalem, kings will bring gifts to you. 30Speak against your enemies! Some are like wild animals that live in the reeds. Some are proud nations, like bulls among their young cows. They must be humble and offer to you gifts of valuable silver things. Chase away those nations that like to fight wars. Egypt's leaders will come with gifts. People will come from Cush and they will agree to serve God. 32All you kingdoms of the earth, sing to God! Yes, sing to praise the Lord! Selah. 33He is the one who rides in the sky, as he has done from the beginning of time. Listen! He shouts with a powerful voice.

Commentaries on Psalms 68:31
- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 31Aethiopta shall soon stretch out her hands unto God - This verse had its literal fulfillment under Solomon, when Egypt formed an alliance with that king by his marriage with Pharaoh's daughter; and when the queen of Sheba came to Jerusalem to hear the wisdom of Solomon. But as this may be a prophetic declaration of the spread of Christianity, it was literally fulfilled after the resurrection of our Lord. There were Egyptians at Jerusalem on the day of…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 31Princes shall come out of Egypt - That is, Shall come and acknowledge the true God. Egypt is referred to here as one of the most prominent of the foreign nations then known; and the idea is, that the distinguished men of foreign nations - the rulers and princes of the world - would come and submit themselves to God, and be united to his people. The word rendered “princes” here - חשׁמנים chashmaniym - occurs nowhere else in the Scriptures. It means…Read the comment

Some shall submit from fear; overcome by their consciences, and the checks of Providence, they are brought to make peace with the church. Others will submit willingly, ver. #(29-31).
