Context of Psalms 146:3
1Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! I say to myself, ‘Praise the Lord!’ 2I will praise the Lord through all my life. While I am alive, I will always sing to praise my God. Do not trust in human leaders. No human can save you. 4When they die, they return to the ground. On that day, their plans come to an end. 5The person who knows that the God of Jacob will help him is a happy person! If he trusts in the Lord as his God, he is happy.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3Put not your trust in princes - Rely on God rather than on man, however exalted he may be.
