Context of Proverbs 8:34
32So listen to me, my children. Anyone who obeys my teaching will be happy. 33Listen when I tell you what is right for you to do. Then you will be wise. Do not forget what I tell you. Anyone who listens to me is in a happy place. You can wait outside my home each day, and I will teach you. 35Anyone who finds me, wisdom, finds true life. The Lord will bless that person. 36But anyone who does not find me brings trouble on himself. Everybody who hates me loves death.’

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 34Watching daily at my gates - Wisdom is represented as having a school for the instruction of men; and seems to point out some of the most forward of her scholars coming, through their intense desire to learn, even before the gates were opened, and waiting there for admission, that they might hear every word that was uttered, and not lose one accent of the heavenly teaching. Blessed are such.Read the comment

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 32-36Verses 32-36 Surely we should hearken to Christ's voice with the readiness of children. Let us all be wise, and not refuse such mercy.
