Context of Leviticus 10:15
13Eat it in a holy place. The Lord has said that it is your part of the grain offering. It is for you and for your sons. 14You and your sons and daughters can eat the meat of the ribs that you held up to God. And all your family can eat the top part of the leg. Eat the meat in a place that is clean and ready for God's use. It is your part of the people's friendship offering. Bring the top of the leg and the meat of the ribs. Lift them up to the Lord. The Lord has given them to you and to your children. Lift them up with the fat parts of the burnt offering. He told you that you should do this.’ 16Moses looked for the goat that was to atone for the people's sin. Moses was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, sons of Aaron. He was angry because they had burnt the goat. 17Moses said to them, ‘This gift was for the Lord. It was a very holy gift. It was to atone for the people's sins. Why did you not take it to the holy place and eat it?

Leviticus 10:12 Beside the altar - What is called “the holy place” in Leviticus 10:13, Leviticus 10:17: it should be rather, a holy place, any part of the holy precinct, as distinguished from a merely “clean place” Leviticus 10:14, either within or without the court of the tabernacle. - Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 12-20Verses 12-20 Afflictions should rather quicken us to our duty, than take us from it. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 13-15The priest's share of the grain, sin, and guilt offerings was "most holy" (see Leviticus 2:3; 6:29; 7:6). Only the males in the priest's family could eat it. They had to eat it in a holy place, like the tabernacle court. Yet, the priest's portion of the peace offering was only "holy." Any family member could eat it in any clean place (22:10–13).Read the comment
