Context of Job 41:12
10No one is brave enough to wake it. So is anyone brave enough to argue against me? 11Nobody has ever won against me to make me pay them anything. Everything in the whole world belongs to me. I must tell you how strong Leviathan's legs are. Their bodies are very strong and they have a wonderful shape. 13Nobody is able to remove their thick skin. It is like armour that nobody can cut through. 14Nobody is strong enough to open its mouth. Its teeth make everyone afraid.

The Creator cannot be intimidated at the most formidable of his own works: man may and should tremble; God cannot.Read the comment

In the previous part of the chapter, the remarks are general, speaking of it merely as one of great power, and not to be taken by any of the ordinary methods. A description follows of the various parts of the animal, all tending to confirm this general impression, and to fill the hearer with a deep conviction of his formidable…Read the comment

Umbreit translates, "his armor." But that follows after.Read the comment
