Context of Job 13:8
6Listen now to what I have to say. Listen carefully to the words that I speak. 7You think that you can tell lies to speak on behalf of God! Your lies are not helping God. You are trying to win the argument for God. But you are not being honest when you do that. 9If God asks you questions, would he find that you speak the truth? Or would you try to deceive him, as you deceive other people? 10When you speak on God's behalf, you may think that your lies are a secret. But God will still punish you.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 8Will ye accept his person? - That is, will you be partial to him? The language is such as is used in relation to courts of justice, where a judge shows favor to one of the parties on account of birth, rank, wealth, or personal friendship.
