Context of Genesis 10:8
6These are the sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put and Canaan. 7These are the sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah and Sabteca. These are the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. Cush was also the father of Nimrod. Nimrod became the first brave soldier in the world. 9The Lord helped Nimrod to be a great hunter. That is why people say, ‘Like Nimrod, a great hunter that the Lord helped.’ 10The first of Nimrod's lands were Babylon, Erech, Akkad and Calneh, in Shinar.
