Context of Ezekiel 43:23
21You must take the bull to burn as a sin offering. Burn it in the proper place in the temple yard, outside the temple building. 22The next day, choose a male goat that has nothing wrong with it. Offer it as a sin offering. Use its blood to make the altar clean and pure, as you did with the bull's blood. After you have done that, choose a young bull and a male sheep that have nothing wrong with them. 24Bring them to me, the Lord. The priests will throw salt on them. Then they will offer them to me as a burnt offering. 25Each day for seven days, you must offer a male goat as a sin offering. You must also choose a young bull and a male sheep each day as sacrifices. They must all have nothing wrong with them.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 23-26Verses 23-26 There was, on each of the seven days, a burnt-offering of a bullock and a ram, preceded by a “sin-offereng of a bullock” on the first day, and of a “kid of the goats” on the other days. Ezekiel 43:24 Salt is here added to the “burnt-offering” to express still more the idea of purification. In the second temple no sacrifice was complete without the use of salt, and the rabbis assert that there was a great heap of salt close to the altar…Read the comment
