Context of Ezekiel 32:6
4I will throw you onto dry ground and I will leave you there. I will bring the birds to fly down from the sky and sit on you. I will bring the wild animals to feed themselves on you, and eat as much as they want. 5I will put the meat of your body on the mountains. Your bones will fill the valleys. I will make the ground wet with your blood. It will pour out of you, up to the mountains. And it will fill the deep valleys. 7When I completely destroy you, I will cover the sky and make the stars become dark. I will cover the sun with a cloud. The moon will no longer give any light. 8I will make the sky over you become dark, with no lights in it. Your whole country will become dark. That is what the Almighty Lord says.

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 4-6mountains … valleys … mountains … ravines: In Hebrew, this is a literary device called a merism (a way of naming the outer parts to include everything in between). It shows both the boundaries and all that lies within them. Here, it emphasizes that God’s judgment would cover the whole land. The description of destruction uses hyperbole (intentional exaggeration). This strong language shows that Egypt’s defeat would be complete.Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 66. land wherein thou swimmest--Egypt: the land watered by the Nile, the the source of its fertility, wherein thou swimmest (carrying on the image of the crocodile, that is, wherein thou dost exercise thy wanton power at will). Irony. The land shall still afford seas to swim in, but they shall be seas of blood. Alluding to the plague (Ex 7:19; Re 8:8).
