Context of Numbers 16:6
4When Moses heard this, he fell on his face. 5And he spoke to Korah and to all his band, saying, Even to-morrow will Jehovah make known who is his, and who is holy; and he will cause him to come near to him; and him whom he has chosen, him will he cause to come near to him. This do: take you censers, Korah, and all his band, 7and put fire therein, and lay incense thereon before Jehovah to-morrow; and it shall be that the man whom Jehovah doth choose, he shall be holy. It is enough, ye sons of Levi! 8And Moses said to Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi!

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 6Take censers: Korah and his group were to act like priests by burning incense (as in Leviticus 16:11–13). By doing this, they were claiming the right to serve as priests. God himself would decide who truly had the right to serve in that role.Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 5-115-11. he spake unto Korah and unto all his company--They were first addressed, not only because they were a party headed by his own cousin and Moses might hope to have more influence in that quarter, but because they were stationed near the tabernacle; and especially because an expostulation was the more weighty coming from him who was a Levite himself, and who was excluded along with his family from the priesthood.
