Context of Exodus 12:35

33And the Egyptians urged the people, to send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We are all dead [men]! 34And the people took their dough before it was leavened; their kneading-troughs bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. And the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked of the Egyptians utensils of silver, and utensils of gold, and clothing. 36And Jehovah had given the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians, and they gave to them; and they spoiled the Egyptians. 37And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot [that were] men, besides children.
