Context of Psalms 71:22
20You caused me to experience many troubles and misfortunes, but you will revive me again. You will bring me up again, even from the depths of the earth. 21You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. Therefore, I will praise you with a harp for your faithfulness, my God; I will sing to you with a lyre, Holy One of Israel. 23My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you because you have redeemed me. 24Therefore, my tongue will proclaim your righteousness all day long, for those who intend to harm me will be disgraced and confounded.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 22I will also praise thee with the psaltery - נבל בכלי bichli nebel, with the instrument nebel. Unto thee will I sing with the harp; בכנור bechinnor, with the kinnor. Both were stringed instruments, and the principal used in the Jewish worship; and with which, or any thing like them, in Divine worship, we, as Christians, have nothing to do.Read the comment
