Context of Psalms 70:2
1God, hurry to rescue me. Lord, hurry to help me! Let those who seek to kill me be disgraced and confounded; let those who wish me harm be turned back and humiliated. 3Let those who say, “Aha, aha!” retreat because of their shame. 4Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation continually say, “God is great!”

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul - The only change here from Psalm 40:14, is the omission of the word “together” which occurs there, and the omission of the words “to destroy it.” Let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt - This corresponds in the Hebrew entirely with Psalm 40:14.Read the comment
