Context of Job 13:13
11Would God’s majesty not terrify you? Would his dread not fall on you? 12Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ash; your defenses are made of clay. Be quiet, and I will speak. Let whatever comes happen to me. 14I will put myself at risk and take my life in my own hands. 15Even if he kills me, I will hope in him. I will still defend my ways before him.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 13Hold your peace - Margin, Be silent from me; see Job 13:5. It is possible that Job may have perceived in them some disposition to interrupt him in a rude manner in reply to the severe remarks which he had made, and he asked the privilege, therefore, of being permitted to go on, and to say what he intended, let come what would. He knew himself not to be a…Read the comment
