Context of Psalms 10:14
12Arise, O LORD! Lift up Your hand, O God! Do not forget the helpless. 13Why has the wicked man renounced God? He says to himself, “You will never call me to account.” But You have regarded trouble and grief; You see to repay it by Your hand. The victim entrusts himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless. 15Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer; call him to account for his wickedness until none is left to be found. 16The LORD is King forever and ever; the nations perish from His land.

But thou wilt requite it with thy hand. By thy power thou wilt cast down and destroy the wicked. The poor committeth himself unto thee - To thee he has given up his body, his soul, and his cause; with the full conviction that thou who art the helper of fatherless, will not forget him.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 14Thou hast seen it - Thou seest all. Though people act as if their conduct was not observed, yet thou art intimately acquainted with all that they do. The workers of iniquity cannot hide themselves. The idea here is, that although God seemed not to notice the conduct of the wicked, and though the wicked acted as if he did not, yet that all this was seen by God, and that he would deal with men according to justice and to truth. For thou beholdest mischief…Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 12-18Verses 12-18 The psalmist speaks with astonishment, at the wickedness of the wicked, and at the patience and forbearance of God. The preparation of the heart is from the Lord, and we must seek unto him for it. Let the poor, afflicted, persecuted, or tempted believer…Read the comment
