Context of 2 Samuel 13:15
13Where could I ever take my shame? And you would be like one of the fools in Israel! Please speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.” 14But Amnon refused to listen to her, and being stronger, he violated her and lay with her. Then Amnon hated Tamar with such intensity that his hatred was greater than the love he previously had. “Get up!” he said to her. “Be gone!” 16“No,” she replied, “sending me away is worse than this great wrong you have already done to me!” But he refused to listen to her. 17Instead, he called to his attendant and said, “Throw this woman out and bolt the door behind her!”

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 15The fact that Amnon’s feelings for Tamar quickly changed into hate shows that what he called “love” (2 Samuel 13:4) was actually selfish sexual desire, not genuine care for her.Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1515. Then Amnon hated her exceedingly--It is not unusual for persons instigated by violent and irregular passions to go from one extreme to another. In Amnon's case the sudden revulsion is easily accounted for; the atrocity of his conduct, with all the feelings of shame, remorse, and dread of exposure and punishment, now burst upon his mind, rendering the presence of Tamar intolerably painful to him.Read the comment
