Context of Genesis 45:25
23And to his father he sent after this manner: ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she-asses laden with grain and bread and provision for his father by the way. 24So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way. The appeal of Judah is to Joseph irresistible. The repentance of his brothers, and their attachment to Benjamin, have been demonstrated in the most satisfactory manner. He says, Let my eyes be refreshed with this sight before they are closed, and then I need no more to make me happy in this world. Behold Jesus manifesting himself as a Brother and a Friend to those who once were his…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 16-25Joseph instructed his brothers to bring Jacob and the whole family to Egypt. Grateful for Joseph saving Egypt (45:18; see 47:20), Pharaoh promised them the best land in Egypt. Joseph also gave them Egypt's finest products.Read the comment

He saw a satisfactory proof, in the return of all his brethren on such an occasion, that they were affectionately united to one another; he had heard enough to convince him that time, reflection, or…Read the comment
