Context of 2 Chronicles 19:6
4And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brought them back unto Jehovah, the God of their fathers. 5And he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, and said to the judges, Consider what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for Jehovah; and he is with you in the judgment. 7Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes. 8Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 6Take heed what ye do - A very solemn and very necessary caution; judges should feel themselves in the place of God, and judge as those who know they shall be judged for their judgments.Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 4-11In Jehoshaphat’s judicial reform, he appointed judges in the fortified towns (2 Chronicles 19:5) and a central court in Jerusalem (19:8). He urged all judges to think carefully and to judge with integrity and respect for the Lord. This meant they could not show favoritism or accept bribes, and they had to warn criminals not to sin against the Lord. The reform reinstated the law of Deuteronomy (Deuteronomy 16:18–17:13).Read the comment
