Context of Psalms 13:3
1For the music director, a psalm of David. 2How long, Adonai? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long must I have cares in my soul and daily sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? 4Look at me and answer, Adonai my God. Light up my eyes, or I will sleep in death. 5Or else my enemy will say: “I have overcome him!” and my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.

I have prayed; I am seeking thy face I am lost without thee; I am in darkness; my life draws nigh to destruction; if I die unforgiven, I die eternally. O Lord my God, consider this; hear and answer, for thy name's sake.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3Consider and hear me - literally, “Look, hear me.” God had seemed to avert his face as if he would not even look upon him Psalm 13:1; and the psalmist now prays that he “would” look upon him - that he would regard his wants - that he would attend to his cry.
