Ruth 2:4-16
4And, behold, BoazH1162 cameH935 from BethlehemH1035, and saidH559 to the reapersH7114, The LORDH3068 be with you. And they answeredH559 him, The LORDH3068 blessH1288 thee. 5Then saidH559 BoazH1162 to his servantH5288 that was setH5324 over the reapersH7114, Whose damselH5291 is this? 6And the servantH5288 that was setH5324 over the reapersH7114 answeredH6030 and saidH559, It is the MoabitishH4125 damselH5291 that came backH7725 with NaomiH5281 from the countryH7704 of MoabH4124: 7And she saidH559, I pray you, let me gleanH3950 and gatherH622 afterH310 the reapersH7114 among the sheavesH6016: so she cameH935, and hath continuedH5975 evenH227 from the morningH1242 until now, that she tarriedH3427 a littleH4592 in the houseH1004. 8Then saidH559 BoazH1162 to RuthH7327, HearestH8085 thou not, my daughterH1323? GoH3212 not to gleanH3950 in anotherH312 fieldH7704, neither goH5674 from here, but abideH1692 here close by my maidensH5291: 9Let thy eyesH5869 be on the fieldH7704 that they are reapingH7114, and goH1980 thou afterH310 them: have I not chargedH6680 the young menH5288 that they shall not touchH5060 thee? and when thou art thirstyH6770, goH1980 to the vesselsH3627, and drinkH8354 of that which the young menH5288 have drawnH7579. 10Then she fellH5307 on her faceH6440, and bowedH7812 herself to the groundH776, and saidH559 to him, Why have I foundH4672 graceH2580 in thy eyesH5869, that thou shouldest take knowledgeH5234 of me, seeing I am a strangerH5237? 11And BoazH1162 answeredH6030 and saidH559 to her, It hath fullyH5046 been shownH5046 to me, all that thou hast doneH6213 to thy mother in lawH2545 sinceH310 the deathH4194 of thy husbandH376: and how thou hast leftH5800 thy fatherH1 and thy motherH517, and the landH776 of thy nativityH4138, and hast comeH3212 to a peopleH5971 which thou knewestH3045 not beforeH8543H8032. 12The LORDH3068 recompenseH7999 thy workH6467, and a fullH8003 rewardH4909 be given thee of the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, under whose wingsH3671 thou hast comeH935 to trustH2620. 13Then she saidH559, Let me findH4672 favourH2580 in thy sightH5869, my lordH113; for that thou hast comfortedH5162 me, and for that thou hast spokenH1696 kindlyH3820 to thy handmaidH8198, though I am not like oneH259 of thy handmaidensH8198.12 14And BoazH1162 saidH559 to her, At mealtimeH6256H400 comeH5066 thou hereH1988, and eatH398 of the breadH3899, and dipH2881 thy morselH6595 in the vinegarH2558. And she satH3427 besideH6654 the reapersH7114: and he reachedH6642 for her roastedH7039 grain, and she ateH398, and was satisfiedH7646, and leftH3498. 15And when she had risenH6965 to gleanH3950, BoazH1162 commandedH6680 his young menH5288, sayingH559, Let her gleanH3950 even among the sheavesH6016, and reproachH3637 her not:3 16And let fallH7997 also some of the handfulsH6653 of purposeH7997 for her, and leaveH5800 them, that she may gleanH3950 them, and rebukeH1605 her not.
