Micah 5
1Now gatherH1413 thyself in troopsH1416, O daughterH1323 of troopsH1416: he hath laidH7760 siegeH4692 against us: they shall smiteH5221 the judgeH8199 of IsraelH3478 with a rodH7626 upon the cheekH3895. 2But thou, BethlehemH1035 EphratahH672, though thou art littleH6810 among the thousandsH505 of JudahH3063, yet out of thee shall he come forthH3318 to me that is to be rulerH4910 in IsraelH3478; whose goings forthH4163 have been from of oldH6924, from everlastingH3117H5769.1 3Therefore will he give them upH5414, until the timeH6256 that she who travailethH3205 hath brought forthH3205: then the remnantH3499 of his brethrenH251 shall returnH7725 to the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 4And he shall standH5975 and feedH7462 in the strengthH5797 of the LORDH3068, in the majestyH1347 of the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 his GodH430; and they shall abideH3427: for now shall he be greatH1431 to the endsH657 of the earthH776.2 5And this man shall be the peaceH7965, when the AssyrianH804 shall comeH935 into our landH776: and when he shall treadH1869 in our palacesH759, then shall we raiseH6965 against him sevenH7651 shepherdsH7462, and eightH8083 principalH5257 menH120.3 6And they shall wasteH7462 the landH776 of AssyriaH804 with the swordH2719, and the landH776 of NimrodH5248 in its entrancesH6607: thus shall he deliverH5337 us from the AssyrianH804, when he comethH935 into our landH776, and when he treadethH1869 within our bordersH1366.45
7And the remnantH7611 of JacobH3290 shall be in the midstH7130 of manyH7227 peopleH5971 as a dewH2919 from the LORDH3068, as the showersH7241 upon the grassH6212, that tarriethH6960 not for manH376, nor waitethH3176 for the sonsH1121 of menH120. 8And the remnantH7611 of JacobH3290 shall be among the GentilesH1471 in the midstH7130 of manyH7227 peopleH5971 as a lionH738 among the beastsH929 of the forestH3293, as a young lionH3715 among the flocksH5739 of sheepH6629: who, if he goeth throughH5674, both treadeth downH7429, and teareth in piecesH2963, and none can deliverH5337.6 9Thy handH3027 shall be lifted upH7311 upon thy adversariesH6862, and all thy enemiesH341 shall be cut offH3772. 10And it shall come to pass in that dayH3117, saithH5002 the LORDH3068, that I will cut offH3772 thy horsesH5483 out of the midstH7130 of thee, and I will destroyH6 thy chariotsH4818: 11And I will cut offH3772 the citiesH6145H5892 of thy landH776, and throw downH2040 all thy strong holdsH4013: 12And I will cut offH3772 witchcraftsH3785 out of thy handH3027; and thou shalt have no more soothsayersH6049: 13Thy graven imagesH6456 also will I cut offH3772, and thy standing imagesH4676 out of the midstH7130 of thee; and thou shalt no more worshipH7812 the workH4639 of thy handsH3027.7 14And I will pluck upH5428 thy grovesH842 out of the midstH7130 of thee: so will I destroyH8045 thy citiesH6145H5892.8 15And I will executeH6213 vengeanceH5359 in angerH639 and furyH2534 upon the heathenH1471, such as they have not heardH8085.
