Leviticus 17:10-12
10And whatever manH376there may be of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or of the strangersH1616 that sojournH1481 amongH8432 you, that eatethH398 any manner of bloodH1818; I will even setH5414 my faceH6440 against that soulH5315 that eatethH398 bloodH1818, and will cut him offH3772 from amongH7130 his peopleH5971. 11For the lifeH5315 of the fleshH1320 is in the bloodH1818: and I have givenH5414 it to you upon the altarH4196 to make an atonementH3722 for your soulsH5315: for it is the bloodH1818 that maketh an atonementH3722 for the soulH5315. 12Therefore I saidH559 to the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, No soulH5315 of you shall eatH398 bloodH1818, neither shall any strangerH1616 that sojournethH1481 amongH8432 you eatH398 bloodH1818.
