Amos 7:1-9
1Thus hath the LordH136 GODH3069 shownH7200 to me; and, behold, he formedH3335 grasshoppersH1462 in the beginningH8462 of the shooting upH5927 of the latter growthH3954; and, lo, it was the latter growthH3954 afterH310 the king’sH4428 mowingsH1488.1 2And it came to pass, that when they had stoppedH3615 eatingH398 the grassH6212 of the landH776, then I saidH559, O LordH136 GODH3069, forgiveH5545, I beseech thee: by whom shall JacobH3290 ariseH6965? for he is smallH6996.2 3The LORDH3068 repentedH5162 for this: It shall not be, saithH559 the LORDH3068. 4Thus hath the LordH136 GODH3069 shownH7200 to me: and, behold, the LordH136 GODH3069 calledH7121 to contendH7378 by fireH784, and it devouredH398 the greatH7227 deepH8415, and ate upH398 a partH2506. 5Then saidH559 I, O LordH136 GODH3069, ceaseH2308, I beseech thee: by whom shall JacobH3290 ariseH6965? for he is smallH6996.3 6The LORDH3068 repentedH5162 for this: This also shall not be, saithH559 the LordH136 GODH3069. 7Thus he showedH7200 me: and, behold, the LordH136 stoodH5324 upon a wallH2346 made by a plumblineH594, with a plumblineH594 in his handH3027. 8And the LORDH3068 saidH559 to me, AmosH5986, what seestH7200 thou? And I saidH559, A plumblineH594. Then saidH559 the LordH136, Behold, I will setH7760 a plumblineH594 in the midstH7130 of my peopleH5971 IsraelH3478: I will not againH3254 pass byH5674 them any more: 9And the high placesH1116 of IsaacH3446 shall be desolateH8074, and the sanctuariesH4720 of IsraelH3478 shall be laid wasteH2717; and I will riseH6965 against the houseH1004 of JeroboamH3379 with the swordH2719.
