Context of Ezekiel 3:2
1Moreover he said to me, Son of man, eat what thou findest; eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that scroll. 3And he said to me, Son of man, cause thy stomach to eat, and fill thy body with this scroll that I give thee. Then did I eat it ; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness. 4And he said to me, Son of man, depart, go to the house of Israel, and speak with my words to them.

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1-271. eat ... and ... speak--God's messenger must first inwardly appropriate God's truth himself, before he "speaks" it to others (see on Eze 2:8).
