Context of Psalms 119:72
70Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law. 71It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees. The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold. 73Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands. 74May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.

It is to me the most valuable possession; that which I prize above all other things. Compare the notes at Psalm 19:10.Read the comment

We are most apt to wander from God, when we are easy in the world. We should leave our concerns to the disposal of God, seeing we know not what is good for us. Lord, thou art our bountiful…Read the comment
