Context of Exodus 36:37
35They made the curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim woven into it by a skilled worker. 36They made four posts of acacia wood for it and overlaid them with gold. They made gold hooks for them and cast their four silver bases. For the entrance to the tent they made a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen—the work of an embroiderer; 38and they made five posts with hooks for them. They overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold and made their five bases of bronze.

- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 1-38Much of the report about building the Tent of Meeting repeats what 25:1–31:18 said. There is a change from the imperative mood to the indicative, and there are certain changes in the order. This repetition emphasizes that the work was done exactly as God commanded (see 40:16). The people had tried to secure God's presence their own way with the gold calf, which led to disaster. Now, by following God's way, they received blessings (40:34–38).Read the comment
