Context of Psalms 72:10
8May the king rule everywhere, from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates river to the ends of the earth. 9Then people who live in the desert will bend down to respect him. His enemies will fall down with their faces in the dust. Kings from Spain and from other far places will pay taxes to him. Kings from Sheba and from Seba will bring gifts to him. 11All kings will bend down in front of him. People from all nations will serve him. 12He will rescue the poor person who calls out to him for help. He will save weak people who have nobody to help them.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 10The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shalt bring presents - Though Solomon did not reign over Cilicia, of which Tarsus was the capital, yet he might receive gifts, not in the sense of tribute; for מנחה minchah, the word here used, signifies a gratitude or friendly offering. The kings of Sheba and Seba - Both countries of Arabia. From the former came the queen of Sheba, to hear the wisdom of Solomon. And she brought exceeding great presents or gifts, but…Read the comment

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 2-17Verses 2-17 This is a prophecy of the kingdom of Christ; many passages in it cannot be applied to the reign of Solomon. The kingdom here spoken of is to last as long as the sun, but Solomon's was soon at an end. Even the Jewish expositors understood it of the kingdom of the Messiah. Observe many…Read the comment
