Context of Psalms 103:20
18He continues to love people who obey his covenant. Those are the people who obey his laws. 19The Lord rules from his throne in heaven. He rules as king over everything. You who are the Lord's angels, you strong angels who do what he tells you to do, praise the Lord! 21All of you who belong to his armies in heaven, his servants who do what he wants, praise the Lord! 22Yes, everything that the Lord has made, in all the places that he rules over, praise the Lord! I say to myself, ‘Praise the Lord!’

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 20Bless the Lord, ye his angels - Every person who has a sense of God's goodness to his soul feels his own powers inadequate to the praise which he ought to offer; and therefore naturally calls upon the holiest of men, and the supreme angels, to assist him in this work. That excel in strength - Some take כה גברי gibborey coach the mighty in strength, for another class of the hierarchy, - they that do his commandments, hearkening to his words; and consider…Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 20Bless the Lord - The psalm began Psalm 103:1-2 with an exhortation to “bless the Lord.” That exhortation was, however, then addressed by the psalmist to his own soul, and was especially founded on the benefits which he had himself received. The psalm closes also with an exhortation to “bless the Lord,” yet on a much wider scale. The psalmist feels that there is not only occasion for him to do it, but that the reason for it extends to the whole universe…Read the comment

Such it will in a measure become, if we are born of God. Such it will be for ever in heaven; nor can we be perfectly happy till we can take unwearied pleasure in…Read the comment
