1At that time, you will say, ‘I praise you, Lord. You were angry with me. But now, you are no longer angry. Now you have been kind to me. Listen! God is the one who saves me! I will continue to trust him. I will not be afraid because the Lord himself makes me strong. He keeps me safe. He rescues us from our enemies.’ 3When God does that, it will make you very happy. You will be safe, like someone who gets plenty of good water from a well to drink. 4At that time, you will say, ‘Praise the Lord! Thank him for his help! - Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 2The Lord Jehovah - The word יה Yah read here is probably a mistake; and arose originally from the custom of the Jewish scribes, who, when they found a line too short for the word, wrote as many letters as filled it, and then began the next line with the whole word. In writing the word יהוה Jehovah, the line might terminate with יה Yah, the two first letters; and then at the beginning of the next line the whole word יהוה Yehovah would be written.
