Context of Genesis 36:33
31Before any kings ruled over the Israelites, these kings ruled in the land of Edom: 32Beor's son Bela became king of Edom. His city was called Dinhabah. When Bela died, Zerah's son Jobab became the next king. 34When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites became the next king. 35When Husham died, Bedad's son Hadad became the next king. Bedad had won the war against the Midianites in the region of Moab. Hadad's city was called Avith.
