Context of Ezekiel 10:12
10All the four wheels looked the same. Each wheel had another wheel that went across the middle of it. 11When the cherubs moved, they could go forward in any of the four directions. They did not have to turn as they moved. When the head turned in a certain direction, they would move that way. They did not need to turn. Eyes completely covered their bodies. This included their backs, their hands and their wings. Eyes also covered the edges of all the wheels. 13I heard someone call the wheels, ‘wheels that turn very fast’. 14Each of the cherubs had four faces. One face was the face of a bull. The second face was the face of a man. The third face was a lion's face. And the fourth face was an eagle's face.

- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 8-22Verses 8-22 Ezekiel sees the working of Divine providence in the government of the lower world, and the affairs of it. When God is leaving a people in displeasure, angels above, and all events below, further his departure. The Spirit of life, the Spirit of God, directs all creatures, in heaven and on earth, so as to make them serve the Divine purpose. God removes by degrees from a provoking people; and, when ready to depart, would return to them, if they…Read the comment

- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 1212. body--literally, "flesh," because a body consists of flesh. wheels ... full of eyes--The description (Eze 1:18) attributes eyes to the "wheels" alone; here there is added, on closer observation, that the cherubim themselves had them. The "eyes" imply that God, by His wisdom, beautifully reconciles seeming contrarieties (compare 2Ch 16:9; Pr 15:3; Zec 4:10).Read the comment
