Context of Numbers 28:28
26On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work. 27Present a burnt offering of two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, together with their grain offerings of fine flour mixed with oil—three-tenths of an ephah with each bull, two-tenths of an ephah with the ram, 29and a tenth of an ephah with each of the seven lambs. 30Include one male goat to make atonement for you.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 26-31Verses 26-31 The festival offering at the season of first-fruits was to be offered on one day only; and was the same with that of the new moon and Passover. It nearly though not entirely accords with the sacrificial offering prescribed in Leviticus 23:18 ff.Read the comment
- Matthew Henry Concise Commentary · v. 16-31Verses 16-31 By the sacrifices enjoined in this chapter, we are reminded of the continued power of the sacrifice of Christ, and of our continual need to depend thereon. No hurrying employments, or perilous situations, or prosperous circumstances, should cause slackness in our religious exercises; but should rather stir us up to greater diligence in seeking help from, or giving thanks to the Lord. And all is to be accompanied with repentance, faith is the…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 26-31The Feast of Weeks was later called the Feast of Pentecost (see Acts 2:1; also Leviticus 23:15–22). It marked the end of the barley harvest and the start of the wheat harvest in early summer (May or June). The Greek name Pentecost means “fiftieth.” It refers to the fiftieth day after Passover (see Acts 20:16; 1 Corinthians 16:8).Read the comment

My offering, and my bread--used…Read the comment
