Context of Psalms 70:2
1O God, come quickly to save me; O Lord, come quickly to help me! Let those be ashamed and humiliated Who seek my life; Let them be turned back and humiliated Who delight in my hurt. 3Let them be turned back because of their shame and disgrace Who say, “Aha, aha!” 4May all those who seek You [as life’s first priority] rejoice and be glad in You; May those who love Your salvation say continually, “Let God be magnified!”

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul - The only change here from Psalm 40:14, is the omission of the word “together” which occurs there, and the omission of the words “to destroy it.” Let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt - This corresponds in the Hebrew entirely with Psalm 40:14.Read the comment
