Context of Leviticus 19:5
3Each of you shall respect his mother and his father, and you shall keep My Sabbaths; I am the Lord your God. 4Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves molten gods (images cast in metal); I am the Lord your God. ‘Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted. 6It shall be eaten the same day you offer it and on the day following; and if anything remains until the third day, it shall be burned in the fire. 7But if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is repulsive; it will not be accepted [by God as an offering].
