Read Job 25 in the BibleJob 25:3
v. 3: Bildad says God’s power is unlimited. Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom does not his light arise? . God has countless angels and all creation is under His command. His light and care reach everyone in the world (Psalm 19:6; Matthew 5:45 ).
Job 25:4
v. 4: Bildad then asks, How then can man be justified with God? Or how can he be clean who is born of a woman? . He means that compared to God’s holiness, humans cannot claim to be righteous or pure. We are all guilty and need God’s mercy (Psalm 51:4; Romans 3:4 ).
Job 25:5
v. 5: He says, Behold even to the moon, and it does not shine; yes, the stars are not pure in his sight . Even the brightest things in creation, like the moon and stars, are nothing compared to God’s glory and purity (Isaiah 24:23 ).
Job 25:6
v. 6: Bildad finishes, How much less man, who is a worm? and the son of man, who is a worm? (Job 25:6 ). He says people are weak and unclean compared to God. This should make us humble and thankful that God still cares for us (Psalm 22:6 ).
