Jeremiah 35:12-19

12Then came the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 to JeremiahH3414, sayingH559, 13Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; GoH1980 and tellH559 the menH376 of JudahH3063 and the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, Will ye not receiveH3947 instructionH4148 to hearkenH8085 to my wordsH1697? saithH5002 the LORDH3068. 14The wordsH1697 of JonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394, that he commandedH6680 his sonsH1121 not to drinkH8354 wineH3196, are performedH6965; for to this dayH3117 they drinkH8354 none, but obeyH8085 their father’sH1 commandmentH4687: however I have spokenH1696 to you, rising earlyH7925 and speakingH1696; but ye hearkenedH8085 not to me. 15I have sentH7971 also to you all my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, rising earlyH7925 and sendingH7971 them, sayingH559, ReturnH7725 ye now every manH376 from his evilH7451 wayH1870, and amendH3190 your doingsH4611, and goH3212 not afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them, and ye shall dwell inH3427 the landH127 which I have givenH5414 to you and to your fathersH1: but ye have not inclinedH5186 your earH241, nor hearkenedH8085 to me. 16Because the sonsH1121 of JonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394 have performedH6965 the commandmentH4687 of their fatherH1, which he commandedH6680 them; but this peopleH5971 hath not hearkenedH8085 to me: 17Therefore thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 GodH430 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Behold, I will bringH935 upon JudahH3063 and upon all the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 all the evilH7451 that I have pronouncedH1696 against them: because I have spokenH1696 to them, but they have not heardH8085; and I have calledH7121 to them, but they have not answeredH6030. 18And JeremiahH3414 saidH559 to the houseH1004 of the RechabitesH7397, Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; Because ye have obeyedH8085 the commandmentH4687 of JonadabH3082 your fatherH1, and keptH8104 all his preceptsH4687, and doneH6213 according to all that he hath commandedH6680 you: 19Therefore thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478; JonadabH3122 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394 shall not lackH3772 a manH376 to standH5975 beforeH6440 me for everH3117.1
