2 Chronicles 34:19-33
19And it came to pass, when the kingH4428 had heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of the lawH8451, that he toreH7167 his clothesH899. 20And the kingH4428 commandedH6680 HilkiahH2518, and AhikamH296 the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, and AbdonH5658 the sonH1121 of MicahH4318, and ShaphanH8227 the scribeH5608, and AsaiahH6222 a servantH5650 of the king’sH4428, sayingH559,1 21GoH3212, enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068 for me, and for them that are leftH7604 in IsraelH3478 and in JudahH3063, concerning the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 that is foundH4672: for greatH1419 is the wrathH2534 of the LORDH3068 that is poured outH5413 upon us, because our fathersH1 have not keptH8104 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, to doH6213 after all that is writtenH3789 in this bookH5612. 22And HilkiahH2518, and they that the kingH4428 had appointed, wentH3212 to HuldahH2468 the prophetessH5031, the wifeH802 of ShallumH7967 the sonH1121 of TikvathH8616H8445, the sonH1121 of HasrahH2641, keeperH8104 of the wardrobeH899; (now she dweltH3427 in JerusalemH3389 in the Second QuarterH4932:) and they spokeH1696 to her to that effect .234 23And she answeredH559 them, Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, TellH559 ye the manH376 that sentH7971 you to me, 24Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068, Behold, I will bringH935 evilH7451 upon this placeH4725, and upon its inhabitantsH3427, even all the cursesH423 that are writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 which they have readH7121 beforeH6440 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063: 25Because they have forsakenH5800 me, and have burned incenseH6999 to otherH312 godsH430, that they might provoke me to angerH3707 with all the worksH4639 of their handsH3027; therefore my wrathH2534 shall be poured outH5413 upon this placeH4725, and shall not be quenchedH3518. 26And as forH413 the kingH4428 of JudahH3063, who sentH7971 you to enquireH1875 of the LORDH3068, so shall ye sayH559 to him, Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478 concerning the wordsH1697 which thou hast heardH8085; 27Because thy heartH3824 was tenderH7401, and thou didst humbleH3665 thyself beforeH6440 GodH430, when thou didst hearH8085 his wordsH1697 against this placeH4725, and against its inhabitantsH3427, and didst humbleH3665 thyself beforeH6440 me, and didst rendH7167 thy clothesH899, and weepH1058 beforeH6440 me; I have even heardH8085 thee also, saithH5002 the LORDH3068. 28Behold, I will gatherH622 thee to thy fathersH1, and thou shalt be gatheredH622 to thy graveH6913 in peaceH7965, neither shall thy eyesH5869 seeH7200 all the evilH7451 that I will bringH935 upon this placeH4725, and upon the inhabitantsH3427 of the same. So they broughtH7725 the kingH4428 wordH1697 againH7725.
29Then the kingH4428 sentH7971 and gatheredH622 all the eldersH2205 of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389. 30And the kingH4428 wentH5927 into the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068, and all the menH376 of JudahH3063, and the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, and the priestsH3548, and the LevitesH3881, and all the peopleH5971, greatH1419 and smallH6996: and he readH7121 in their hearingH241 all the wordsH1697 of the bookH5612 of the covenantH1285 that was foundH4672 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068.5 31And the kingH4428 stoodH5975 in his placeH5977, and madeH3772 a covenantH1285 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068, to walkH3212 afterH310 the LORDH3068, and to keepH8104 his commandmentsH4687, and his testimoniesH5715, and his statutesH2706, with all his heartH3824, and with all his soulH5315, to performH6213 the wordsH1697 of the covenantH1285 which are writtenH3789 in this bookH5612. 32And he caused all that were presentH4672 in JerusalemH3389 and BenjaminH1144 to standH5975 to it . And the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389 didH6213 according to the covenantH1285 of GodH430, the GodH430 of their fathersH1.6 33And JosiahH2977 took awayH5493 all the abominationsH8441 out of all the countriesH776 that pertained to the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, and made all that were presentH4672 in IsraelH3478 to serveH5647, even to serveH5647 the LORDH3068 their GodH430. And all his daysH3117 they departedH5493 not from followingH310 the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of their fathersH1.78
