2 Chronicles 25:14-16
14Now it came to pass, afterH310 that AmaziahH558 had comeH935 from the slaughterH5221 of the EdomitesH130, that he broughtH935 the godsH430 of the childrenH1121 of SeirH8165, and set them upH5975 to be his godsH430, and bowedH7812 himself beforeH6440 them, and burned incenseH6999 to them. 15Therefore the angerH639 of the LORDH3068 was kindledH2734 against AmaziahH558, and he sentH7971 to him a prophetH5030, who saidH559 to him, Why hast thou soughtH1875 after the godsH430 of the peopleH5971, which could not deliverH5337 their own peopleH5971 out of thy handH3027? 16And it came to pass, as he talkedH1696 with him, that the king saidH559 to him, Art thou madeH5414 of the king’sH4428 councilH3289? forbearH2308; why shouldest thou be smittenH5221? Then the prophetH5030 stoppedH2308, and saidH559, I knowH3045 that GodH430 hath determinedH3289 to destroyH7843 thee, because thou hast doneH6213 this, and hast not hearkenedH8085 to my counselH6098.1
