Context of Psalms 13:3
1O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? 2How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. 4Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. 5But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me.

I have prayed; I am seeking thy face I am lost without thee; I am in darkness; my life draws nigh to destruction; if I die unforgiven, I die eternally. O Lord my God, consider this; hear and answer, for thy name's sake.Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3Consider and hear me - literally, “Look, hear me.” God had seemed to avert his face as if he would not even look upon him Psalm 13:1; and the psalmist now prays that he “would” look upon him - that he would regard his wants - that he would attend to his cry.
