Job 33:1-7
11‘But now, Job, listen to the things that I will tell you. Listen carefully to everything that I will say.
2I will speak to you now. I am ready to tell you what I think.
3I am an honest man, so you can believe what I say. I will tell you what I know is true.
4The Spirit of Almighty God has made me. His breath gives me life.
5Answer me now, Job, if you can. Prepare yourself. Be ready to explain your problem to me.
6Listen! When God looks at us, we are the same as each other. God used clay to make both of us.
7So you should not be afraid of me. I will not do anything to hurt you.
Notes
- 1. Job 33:1 Elihu tries to help Job to understand several things. First, Job had said that God had not answered his questions. Elihu tells Job that God does speak to people. He speaks if people will listen. See Job 33:14-17. Second, Elihu says that sometimes God sends an illness to teach people the right way to live. See Job 33:19-28. ↩
