Context of Job 21:28
26But they all die one day and their bodies lie under the ground. Worms cover their bodies, whoever they are. 27I know what you are thinking. You want to show that I am guilty. You say, “You see that the rich person no longer has a house. Wicked people no longer have homes to live in.” 29But you should ask people who travel to different places. You should listen to the things that they say. 30They would tell you that wicked people do not always suffer. When trouble comes, they continue to be safe. When God is angry with people, wicked people escape punishment.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 28For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? - In order to prove your point, ye ask, Where is the house of the tyrant and oppressor? Are they not overthrown and destroyed? And is not this a proof that God does not permit the wicked to enjoy prosperity?Read the comment
- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 28For ye say, Where is the house of the prince? - That is, you maintain that the house of the wicked man, in a high station, will be certainly over thrown. The parallelism, as well as the whole connection, requires us to understand the word “prince” here as referring to a “wicked” ruler.
