Context of Jeremiah 51:4
2I will send foreign soldiers to remove them from their land, like a wind that blows chaff away. They will make the land become empty. On the day of that great trouble, they will attack Babylonia from all directions. 3Do not give Babylon's soldiers time to pick up their weapons! Do not give them time to put on their armour! Kill all their young men. Completely destroy their whole army. Their dead bodies will lie on the ground all over Babylonia and in the streets of the city. 5The Lord Almighty, Israel's God, will not leave Israel and Judah on their own. Those people are guilty of many bad things that they have done against Israel's holy God. 6Run away from Babylonia! Run quickly to escape from there! Do not stay there to die along with Babylonia's people. The time has come for the Lord to pay them back for their sins. He will punish them as they deserve.
