Context of Psalms 133:3
1How delightfully good when brothers live together in harmony! 2It is like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard, running down Aaron’s beard onto his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon falling on the mountains of Zion. For there the Lord has appointed the blessing — life forevermore.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 3As the dew of Hermon - On the situation of Mount Hermon, see the notes at Psalm 89:12. The literal rendering of this passage would be, “Like the dew of Hermon which descends on the mountains of Zion.” According to our version two things are referred to: the dew of Hermon, and the dew on the mountains of Zion, But this is not in the original. There no dew is referred to but that which belongs to Hermon. It has, of course, been made a question how the dew…Read the comment
- Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 3The dew represents the richness of God’s blessings (his goodness and care). In Jerusalem, this moisture comes from winds off the Mediterranean Sea. Mount Hermon, which has snow on its peak, is known for its abundant moisture. A blessing is God’s life-giving power. It shows his provision (care for needs) and protection (Psalm 5:12; 41:2). It also comes from his presence (21:6; 67:1). In the end, all nations will receive God’s blessing (Psalms 67; 72:17)…Read the comment
