Context of Ezekiel 46:21
19Then the man brought me through the entrance at the side of the gate into the holy chambers facing north, which belonged to the priests, and he showed me a place there at the far western end 20and said to me, “This is the place where the priests shall boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they shall bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them into the outer court and transmit holiness to the people.” Then he brought me into the outer court and led me around to its four corners, and I saw a separate court in each of its corners. 22In the four corners of the outer court there were enclosed courts, each forty cubits long and thirty cubits wide. Each of the four corner areas had the same dimensions. 23Around the inside of each of the four courts was a row of masonry with ovens built at the base of the walls on all sides.

- Barnes’ Notes on the Bible · v. 19-24Verses 19-24 The careful provision here made to keep separate the offerings of priests and people was to prevent collision, just as the enactments Ezekiel 46:16-18 were intended to secure their respective rights to prince and people. - Tyndale Open Study Notes · v. 19-24The vision of the temple proper (Ezekiel 40–46) ends where the tour started. The prophet began in the outer court. He traveled to the center and back out twice, finishing at the outer court's edges, in the kitchens. Here, people cooked various sacrifices. Some sacrifices were burned completely on the altar. Others were only partially burned, with parts returned so the worshiper could feast with his family in the Lord's presence.Read the comment
- Jamieson–Fausset–Brown Commentary · v. 19-2419-24. Due regard is to be had for the sanctity of the officiating priests' food, by cooking courts being provided close to their chambers. One set of apartments for cooking was to be at the corners of the inner court, reserved for the flesh of the sin offerings, to be eaten only by the priests whose perquisite it was (Le 6:25; 7:7), before coming forth to mingle again with the people; another set at the corners of the outer court, for cooking the flesh…Read the comment
