Amplified Bible
2 Samuel 17:22-24
22Then David and all the people who were with him departed and crossed over the Jordan. By daybreak, not even one was left who had not crossed the Jordan.
23Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out and went to his home, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself. So he died and was buried in the tomb of his father.
24Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom crossed over the Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.
