Psalms 150:1

An Invitation to Praise God; All Creatures Called to Praise God.This final psalm is a strong encouragement to everyone to praise the Lord

Psalms 150:2

v. 2: We are told why we should praise God. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness . We praise God for all the amazing things He has done—in creation, in caring for people, in saving His children, and in showing His greatness. Our words can never fully match God’s greatness, but we should try our best to praise Him as much as we can.

Psalms 150:3-5

v. 3–5: The psalmist describes how to praise God—with every kind of musical instrument: Praise him with the sound of the trumpet…with the psaltery and harp…with timbrel and dance…with stringed instruments and flutes…with loud cymbals (Psalm 150:3–5 ). The main idea is that we should praise God with everything we have, doing it with energy and joy. In the New Testament, we are told to praise God with one mind and one voice (Romans 15:6 ). The most important thing is a sincere and thankful heart.

Psalms 150:6

v. 6: The psalm ends with a universal call: Let everything that has breath praise the Lord
